AMSBIO's workflow

At AMSBIO we can streamline your modeling process by offering a range of products to support skeletal muscle cell culture. We offer human primary skeletal myoblasts from a variety of donors, including obese donors with Type 2 diabetes. To compliment our range of cell lines, we have formulated media available for maintenance, differentiation and maturation of skeletal muscle cells. Alternatively we offer our differentiation kits to direct iPSCs to form mature functional skeletal muscle cells.

Skeletal Muscle Cell Lines

Human skeletal myoblasts satellite cells are isolated from consented patients with good representation from all levels of adiposity and age. Skeletal myoblasts are available from both male and female donors. Pooled lots of cells are available to provide large lots for screening and to decrease issues with patient to patient variability.

Induction and Maturation Media

For Skeletal Muscle culture we offer differentiation and maturation media for different stages of skeletal muscle growth.

To differentiate iPSCs towards myoblasts we offer our induction medium. For myoblast maintenance we offer our myoblast cell growth media. For maturation we offer both myotube or myotube fusion medium to reach functionality. Lastly, for long term maintenance of mature skeletal muscle cells we have our skeletal muscle cell growth medium.

Skeletal Muscle Differentiation

Skeletal Muscle Differentiation Kit

Differentiate human pluripotent stem cells using a simple 3-step process of media changes and cell passaging. The kit achieves typically 70% MF20-positive myotubes without the need for cell sorting or transfection. Alternatively, you can use this kit to differentiate human skeletal myoblasts to mature myotubes.

The process yields almost pure populations of myogenic cells; it is highly efficient and works robustly with all pluripotent stem cell lines – critical prerequisites for effective cell-based disease modeling and drug development.
