Frozen Tissue Blocks

Frozen tissue blocks are fresh-frozen or OCT-embedded pieces of human or animal tissue preserved at ultra-low temperature to retain nucleic acids, proteins, and native enzyme activity. Because fixation and paraffin embedding can mask epitopes and degrade RNA, frozen tissue blocks are the preferred sample format for applications where molecular integrity matters, such as RNA-seq, proteomics, phosphoprotein analysis, spatial transcriptomics, cryosectioning for IHC/IF, and enzymatic assays.

Amsbio's frozen tissue blocks cover both disease and matched normal indications with rich clinical annotation. Hard-to-source tumor subtypes, adjacent normal tissue, and age- or stage-matched cohorts are all available, with custom cohort builds on request.
