FFPE Tissue Sections

FFPE tissue sections are thin slices of formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded human or animal tissue, cut from preserved tissue blocks and mounted on glass slides ready for staining. Because fixation preserves tissue architecture and biomolecules for years at room temperature, FFPE sections are a workhorse sample format for a variety of applications, including immunohistochemistry, in situ hybridization,histopathology, multiplex staining, spatial biology, and biomarker validation across oncology, neuroscience, immunology, and drug development.
